This informal briefing will provide an over view of safeguarding considerations for charities, community and voluntary groups in Kirklees.

This event has been organised as part of Kirklees Safeguarding Week 2021. It is aimed at organisations who may be looking to review or set up new safeguarding procedures.

The session will cover:

Why safeguarding is important

Writing a Safeguarding Policy

Safeguarding procedures for your venue/activity

Safer recruitment and how to apply for DBS certificates

Templates, resources and where to get help.

It will be delivered by Becky Bracey, Volunteer Development Manager at Third Sector Leaders Kirklees who leads on Safeguarding at the organisation.

Please note: This event is organised by TSL Kirklees - a local charity that gives free support, advice and training to any charity, community group or social enterprise in Kirklees - and is only open to any workers, trustees or volunteers from third sector organisations based or working in Kirklees.
