Initiative supports young people to encourage parents to take up vaccination

Funded with a TSL Kirklees Community Champions Encouraging Vaccine Take-Up Grant (some funding still available)

Trillz and Westend Juniors have been addressing important issues around health, mental toughness and resilience underpinned by the message to fight Covid-19 “keep safe, stay healthy…get vaccinated”.

U Can Shine’s social distancing superhero ‘U Man’ has visiting primary schools across Huddersfield Communities as part of our health and well-being drive.

The group was able to access grant funding for this project through the TSL Kirklees Community Champions Scheme, supported by Kirklees Council. The grants, which are available for community groups, charities and sports clubs in Kirklees help people overcome any barriers to getting the vaccine, can be used to deliver activities or come up with their own idea to support the uptake of the Covid vaccine.
